Let’s start with a harsh truth: If people don’t know you, they can’t do business with you. It doesn’t matter if you’re the best negotiator, the smartest marketer, or the most ethical agent in your market—if nobody knows you exist, none of that matters.
The real estate game isn’t just about selling homes. It’s about getting attention.
And yet, so many agents are still out here treating their business like a witness protection program. They post once every six months, avoid video like it’s radioactive, and cross their fingers that their “referral-only” strategy will keep them afloat. Spoiler: It won’t.
So today, let’s talk about visibility—the secret weapon that separates struggling agents from those getting inbound leads daily.
Step One: Stop Hiding (Seriously, Just Stop)
Let’s start with the basics. Where can people see you?
Are you showing up consistently on social media?
Are you networking in your local community?
Are you running ads, or is your marketing budget just wishful thinking?
When someone Googles your name, do you even show up?
Most agents blend into the background because they’re afraid to be seen. They worry about looking dumb on camera, being judged for their content, or posting too much—as if social media has a limit on how many times a person can show up before getting arrested.
Here’s the reality: The people who are winning in this industry are the ones who are everywhere. They dominate the feed. They show up on Google. They create content so frequently that their audience feels like they know them.
Step Two: Master The “Know, Like, Trust” Formula
People do business with those they know, like, and trust. Visibility is what gets you known. Consistency and authenticity make you likable. And providing value builds trust.
So how do you hit all three?
Be seen. Post on social media every day. Show up on video. Engage in your local Facebook groups. Speak at events. Be present.
Be yourself. If you’re funny, be funny. If you’re serious, be serious. Stop trying to sound like everyone else and just be you.
Be useful. Share market insights. Educate buyers and sellers. Show behind-the-scenes of real estate transactions. Be the agent that helps people, not just sells to them.

Step Three: Fix Your Online Presence (Like, Today)
If your digital presence is a mess, you’re making it easy for prospects to ignore you. Here’s how to fix it:
✅ Google Yourself. If your name isn’t showing up, you have work to do. Get listed on Realty.com, Google My Business, Zillow, Realtor. com, and anywhere else buyers and sellers search.
✅ Social Media Audit. Look at your profiles. Are they updated? Do they have a professional photo, clear branding, and links to your website? If not, fix it.
✅ Website Check. If you don’t have a personal website, you’re at the mercy of platforms you don’t control. Get one. Even a simple landing page is better than nothing.
✅ Content Plan. Commit to posting something every single day. It could be a market update, a home tour, a quick tip—just show up.
In today’s market, you don’t win by being the best-kept secret. You win by being everywhere. You want people to scroll through their feed and think, Wow, this agent is everywhere—maybe I should call them.
You don’t need to be perfect. You just need to be present.
