The trust shortcut hiding in plain sight

Great testimonials do more than make you look good. They build trust, lower hesitation, and help future clients feel confident before they ever reach out.

💬 Quote of the Week

"The word-of-mouth power in one interested person has unbelievable reach." - Gary Vaynerchuk

Welcome to IMPACT!

Real estate has a funny way of making very capable adults feel like caffeinated squirrels with a lockbox key.

One minute you are following up with a buyer. The next you are checking inspection dates, answering a lender question, trying to remember who you forgot to call back, and updating a CRM you swore you were going to use better this year. Somewhere in there your income starts to feel like it is being managed by a roulette wheel.

And then the day ends. You were busy for twelve straight hours and you still are not sure you moved your business forward.

That is exactly why this week's Virtual Coffee topic matters. The fix is usually not more hours. It is better bookends.

☕ This Week’s Virtual Coffee:

The Power of Testimonials.

This week's Virtual Coffee is getting a little takeover moment. I'll be in New York City for convention, so Casey Eberhart is stepping in as both our guest speaker and guest host. And honestly, he picked a great topic to run with: The Power of Testimonials.

Because let's be real. You can tell people all day long that you're great at what you do, but it hits a whole lot differently when someone else says it for you. Testimonials build trust, create credibility, and give future clients that little nudge that says, "Yep, this is the agent I want to call."

So come hang out with Casey, show him some Virtual Coffee love, and pick up some practical ideas for turning your clients' kind words into more confidence, more connection, and more business.

Did you miss last week? As long as I didn’t forget to hit record 🙃, you can catch up via the link below. Time saving tip - did you know that you can watch at 1.5x speed and still understand everything said? It’s just one more way to make the most of your time.

UPCOMING EVENTS:

Agent Alliance Live » TODAY!

"AI" for real estate agents is often useless, even borderline scammy. Costing you more money and time than it saves.

But what if it could...

-Do your comps automatically
-Send weekly updates on showing activity, feedback, views, and market trends for your listings
-Handle all your scheduling and notes for your calendar just from you talking to it

And so much more.

This Wednesday, Robert Biehn is sharing with you AI that actually helps real estate agents save time and money.

RE-AI Advantage Lab: Weekly AI Training for Real Estate Agents » TODAY!

Welcome to the RE-AI Advantage Lab, a weekly training where we explore practical ways real estate agents can use AI to save time, create better marketing, communicate more effectively with clients, and build smarter systems for their business. Each week, we break down real tools, real prompts, and real strategies that agents can immediately put into action, without the overwhelm or tech confusion.

The Unforgettable Realtor Experience » Thursday

Most Realtors work incredibly hard to get the client…and then accidentally disappear after closing. The problem?

Your past clients may LOVE you, but if you’re not staying visible in a meaningful way, someone else eventually becomes the agent they remember when a friend, coworker, or family member needs a referral.

That’s exactly why Jimmy Ezzell from TripValet Incentives is hosting a special training called: The Unforgettable Realtor Experience

This isn’t another “buy more leads” webinar. This training is all about how to create memorable client experiences that naturally generate more repeat business, referrals, conversations, and loyalty long after the transaction closes.

When a Brokerage Pays Your Healthcare,

People Notice » Friday!

www.Brokerage-Breakdown.com

There's a brokerage getting a lot of attention right now, and once you hear why, it's easy to see what all the noise is about. We're not talking about the usual shiny perks. We're talking about free healthcare and free prescriptions for agents.

Think about that for a second. Most agents are quietly paying what feels like a second mortgage just to stay covered, treating it as the unavoidable cost of being self-employed. So when a brokerage steps in and takes one of the single biggest financial pressures agents face and simply removes it, people start asking questions. And they should. That's not a perk you shrug off. That's the kind of thing that makes you rethink the whole math of where you hang your license.

If you're curious what's actually real here and how it works, come see for yourself at this week's Brokerage Breakdown.

And if you’re in the process of finding a new home for your RE license, grab our guide at Brokerage Score

TODAY’S FEATURE:

Let Your Clients Do the Bragging

I'll admit something a little embarrassing. I won't try a new taco place with fewer than four stars. I read the reviews, I scroll the photos, I check what strangers said before I'll spend twelve dollars on lunch. And here's the thing: your future clients are doing the exact same thing before they trust you with the biggest financial decision of their lives.

Which is why the hardest selling job in real estate is the one you're probably still trying to do yourself.

You can list your stats all day. Top producer, hundreds of homes sold, fastest response time in town. And it all sounds like exactly what it is: an agent bragging about an agent. But when a past client says, "she answered every panicked text at 11pm and never once made me feel dumb for asking," something shifts. That sentence does what your marketing never could. It transfers trust. It is the difference between you claiming you're great and someone else proving it.

That's the quiet power of a testimonial. It's not a compliment. It's evidence.

And the best ones aren't the polished, generic "great to work with, highly recommend" blurbs. Those slide right past people. The testimonials that land are specific and a little bit human. The moment you saved the deal. The 10pm phone call. The thing you did that nobody was watching. Specific is believable, and believable is what sells.

Here's the part most agents miss, though. Great testimonials rarely just show up. You have to ask, and you have to ask at the right moment, which is right at the peak of the happiness, on closing day, when the keys are in their hand and they love you most. Make it effortless. Don't say "would you mind leaving a review." Hand them a prompt: "What was your biggest worry before we started, and how did it turn out?" You'll get gold every time.

Then use it everywhere. Not once. On your listing presentations, in your email signature, across your social, on your Google profile, in the follow-up you send a nervous first-time buyer. And if you can get it on video, even better, because a real face and a real voice beats a paragraph of text ten times over.

While I'm off at convention in New York, Casey Eberhart is taking over Virtual Coffee to walk you through exactly how to collect these, how to ask without feeling awkward, and how to turn your clients' words into your most convincing marketing. Go show him some love and steal every idea he gives you.

🎨 Steal This Week's Content

Ready-to-post captions that put your clients' words to work. Tweak the brackets and they're yours.

1. The "Don't Take My Word For It" Post

Graphic: A clean screenshot of a real client review or text, on your brand background. Caption: I could tell you I'll take great care of you… but it means more coming from [client first name]. 👆 This is exactly why I do what I do. If you're thinking about making a move this year, let's talk. And if we've worked together before, I'd love to hear what your experience was like below 👇

2. The "Peak Happiness" Ask Post

Graphic: A photo of a happy client at closing, keys in hand (with permission).
Caption: There is no better feeling than handing over the keys. 🔑 If I've ever helped you buy, sell, or even just talked you off a ledge during a stressful move, would you do me one small favor? Tell me the one thing that surprised you most about the process. Your honest words help the next nervous buyer know they're in good hands. 💬

3. The "Trust Is Everything" Post

Graphic: Bold text on your brand background.
Caption: People don't hire the agent with the flashiest ad. They hire the one their friend swears by. That's why the kindest thing you can do for someone you love who's about to buy or sell is send them to someone you trust. If that's me, I'll never take it lightly. Who's the person in your life you'd vouch for without hesitation?

🎯 This Week's Takeaway

You will never convince people you're the right choice as powerfully as your happy clients can. Stop bragging about yourself, and start collecting the proof that does it for you.

Happy Networking,
Debbie Mauro

Book of the Week:

Talk Triggers by Jay Baer & Daniel Lemin

This week is all about getting other people to talk about you, so this book is a perfect match. Jay Baer and Daniel Lemin break down exactly why word of mouth is the most trusted marketing on earth, and how to intentionally create the kind of experiences that make clients rave about you without being asked. If testimonials are the proof, this book shows you how to manufacture the stories behind them.

My favorite tools!

Whether you're brand new and working toward your license, or a seasoned agent staring down another continuing education deadline, The CE Shop makes it about as painless as it gets. Everything is online, self-paced, and actually well built, so you're not slogging through boring slides just to check a box. Pre-licensing, exam prep, post-licensing, CE, it's all there in one place, and you can knock it out on your own schedule from anywhere.

Here's the part I love: use code IMPACT35 at checkout and you'll get 35% off any courses you purchase. That's real money back in your pocket on something you have to do anyway. If you've been putting off your CE or thinking about leveling up your license, this is your nudge. Learn more HERE!

If your Google Business Profile hasn’t been updated in weeks, we need to talk. Google loves fresh content. The agents who post consistently show up more. The ones who don’t… well… don’t.

Marblism makes it stupidly easy to stay visible without burning out. In minutes, you can create weeks of Google-ready posts, market updates, and listing highlights so your profile stays active while you focus on negotiating deals and serving clients. Let the robots help you rank. You keep being the human people hire. This is how I’m protecting my energy and building momentum in 2026. You can too HERE!

Most Realtors say they want more referrals… but then they close the deal, hand over the keys, and disappear until the next holiday pop-by. The agents getting repeat business and referrals in 2026 are the ones creating experiences clients actually remember.

That’s why I’ve been loving TripValet Incentives. It gives you access to high-value travel and lifestyle incentives you can use to stand out in your market, create memorable closing gifts, generate more referrals, and spark conversations without constantly lowering your commission or buying expensive leads.

We’re talking vacation incentives designed to help you stay top-of-mind long after the transaction closes. The best part? Your clients never have to sit through a timeshare presentation, which honestly matters more than ever.

If you’ve been looking for a way to create more word-of-mouth business and elevate your client experience without adding a ton of extra work to your plate, this is worth checking out. Plus, they offer a 7-Day Free Trial so you can test it before committing. Learn more HERE!

✨ domii

One app I genuinely love and recommend to agents is domii. In a business where we’re constantly meeting new people, walking into vacant homes, and working alone, safety isn’t optional, it’s essential. domii was built with that reality in mind, giving you a simple way to stay connected and protected while you’re out showing property or meeting clients. While tools like Forewarn can provide helpful background information, they don’t offer real-time protection in the moment, which is where domii really stands out. It’s one of those tools you hope you never need, but you’ll be really glad you have. You can download it directly from the Apple App Store or Google Play, and if you use code STARTHERE, you’ll get 25% off.

If you have a team and feel like you’re explaining the same thing over and over again… or you’re responsible for a process that somehow keeps getting done wrong… this is going to be your new favorite shortcut. Instead of sitting down to write out SOPs, you simply do the task once while Guideless AI watches.

It flips the whole process on its head by turning your actions into clean, step-by-step documentation with voiceover automatically. No overthinking, no starting from scratch, no “I’ll get to it later.” Just show it once and you’ve got a repeatable, easy-to-follow guide your team can actually use. If you’re ready to stop repeating yourself and start systemizing, this is a no-brainer. Learn more HERE!

If you’ve ever tried a CRM like GoHighLevel and thought, “this looks amazing… but I have no idea how to actually use it,” you’re not alone. Most systems give you a million tools and zero direction, which is exactly why so many agents never fully implement them. What I love about Rubic is that it’s built on that same powerful foundation, but it actually comes with a done-for-you structure so you’re not starting from scratch.

The real difference is the white-glove onboarding and support. You’re not just handed a login and wished good luck, you get help setting it up, understanding it, and actually using it in your business. If you’re serious about follow-up, systems, and finally owning your database without the overwhelm, this is one of the smartest tools you can plug into right now. Learn more HERE!

✨ LynnPro

If you’ve ever ordered swag for your real estate business, this is for you. LynnPro Connect makes it easy to create custom branded apparel and promotional products all in one place. From t-shirts, hoodies, and hats to coffee mugs, pens, phone accessories, and even branded nail files, if you can put your logo on it, LynnPro can print it. It’s a simple way to stay visible, look professional, and turn everyday items into brand reminders your clients actually keep. (yes, you may recognize this from Friday’s Revenue edition. They have a referral program where you can earn from referring them… Ink Your Income)

Realtyzam is one of those tools that just makes life easier when it comes to your finances.

It automatically tracks income, expenses, and receipts so everything stays organized and ready for tax time. Simple, efficient, and built specifically for real estate. Exactly the kind of system I want more of this year. If you do too, try it HERE.

Galaxy AI has become my go-to for quick, polished graphics.

It helps me create visuals without overthinking design or getting stuck trying to make things perfect. Clean, fast, and effective. Exactly what I want more of this year. If you do too, try it HERE.
