💬 Quote of the Week
"If people like you, they will listen to you. If they trust you, they will do business with you." - Zig Ziglar
Thursday’s Virtual Coffee Mastermind:
On Thursday, Rachel & Dalton are diving into why Google reviews are one of the most valuable (and underused) assets in your business. We’ll cover how reviews impact your online visibility and local SEO, the hidden cost of having too few reviews, and a simple plug-and-play system you can use to consistently generate more of them. We’ll also show how AI can automatically respond to reviews and share your best ones to social media to build even more trust without adding to your workload.
Finally, we’ll touch on what “review gating” is, why it’s frowned upon, and wrap up by sharing a free resource on Google Business Profile optimization, including setup, ongoing maintenance, and how to fully optimize it so every review you earn works harder for you.
Did you miss last week? As long as I didn’t forget to hit record 🙃, you can catch up via the link below. TIme saving tip - did you know that you can watch at 1.5x speed and still understand everything said? It’s just one more way to make the most of your time.

TODAY’S FEATURE:
Before Clients Call You, They Google You
If we are being honest for a moment, there is a very good chance you did this exact thing recently. You were about to hire someone. Maybe a plumber. Maybe a hair stylist. Maybe a painter who promised they really are good at cutting in near ceilings. And before you made a single call, you Googled them. You checked the stars. You read the comments. You did the quiet little detective work we all swear we do not do.
Your clients are doing the exact same thing to you.
Google reviews are no longer optional. They are not a cute side accessory for your business. They are the first impression. They decide whether someone clicks your website or hits the back button so hard it echoes.
This week we are diving into the Review Revolution because reviews can increase your visibility, boost your SEO, and make you look like the trustworthy local expert you already are. And once you understand how powerful they are, you will wonder why you ever let a single client go home without dropping you five glowing stars.
Why Google Reviews Matter More Than Ever
Most people make decisions faster on Google than they do while choosing a Netflix show. The right reviews help Google decide if you deserve to sit in the top spots on the map. They also help your future clients decide if you are the solid and reliable agent they want guiding them through the biggest purchase of their lives.
Too few reviews makes your business look inactive even if you are crushing it. A competitor with more reviews will outrank you even if they are not half as good as you. And stale reviews make clients wonder if you crawled under a rock and stopped working.
Here is the part nobody likes to talk about. Low review volume costs you money. It means fewer calls. Fewer leads. Fewer referrals finding you online. You lose people you never even knew existed because Google pushes you down the page.
It feels unfair. Mostly because it is.
A Simple Plug and Play Review System
Building a steady flow of rave reviews does not have to be awkward or desperate. Here is the simple system:
1. Ask at the moment of delight
When clients are happy, ask. The timing works like magic.
2. Use one simple link
Your Google review link should be so easy a distracted toddler could click it.
3. Follow up once
A friendly nudge is fine. Begging is not.
4. Make it a habit
Treat reviews like brushing your teeth. Quick. Routine. Non negotiable.
AI Can Do the Heavy Lifting
Responding to reviews takes time. Sharing them on social media takes time. The good news is that AI can do both for you. You can automate thoughtful responses and have your best reviews turned into social posts that show off your expertise without adding anything to your weekly workload.
Your online reputation keeps working while you sleep. Honestly, we should all be using that feature.
What Review Gating Is and Why You Should Avoid It
Review gating is when you only ask happy clients to leave reviews and steer everyone else away. Google is not a fan. They can remove your reviews and even restrict your profile. You do not need risky shortcuts. A fair and honest system will serve you better and last longer.
Free Resource for Attendees
During Virtual Coffee, we will share a Google Business Profile optimization guide that breaks down setup, maintenance, and every simple tweak that can help you rank higher and get more visibility. Even one or two changes can move the needle immediately.
Scripts
Asking for a Review Script
Hi! I loved working with you and I am so glad we got you to the finish line. If you have a minute, would you mind leaving a quick Google review about your experience? It helps other people feel confident hiring me and I would really appreciate it. Here is the link.
Follow Up Script
Hi again. Real life has probably been busy, so here is a friendly reminder about the review link. Thank you again for trusting me with your home journey. I appreciate you more than you know.
Social Post Sharing a Review
Feeling grateful today. I just received this kind review from a client who made the entire process a joy. Thank you for trusting me. Your support helps my business grow and keeps me doing what I love.
Canva Post Ideas
A screenshot of a five star review with the caption: Real clients. Real results. Real trust.
A simple graphic that says: Google me and see what clients are saying.
A carousel titled: Three quick ways you can support your favorite local Realtor. Hint: one of them is a review.
A branded image with a quote from a glowing review.
A post educating clients on how reviews help small businesses stay visible in their communities.
Final Takeaways
Your business already has a quiet salesperson working behind the scenes. It is your Google Business Profile. It never sleeps. It never clocks out. It works while you show homes, drink coffee, or walk through Target buying things you absolutely did not plan to buy. The more reviews you collect, the harder it works for you and the more trust you build before anyone ever picks up the phone.
This week, start asking for reviews like your business depends on it. Because it does.
One request - if you’ve learned something from our newsletter or joining us at our Virtual Coffees and other events, please forward this to another agent that you think would also enjoy becoming a part of our circle to create IMPACT in their business!
We’re looking forward to seeing you tomorrow morning!
Happy Networking,

Book of the Week:
The entire premise of the book is that in today’s digital world, people do not trust companies. They trust people.
This is exactly what Google reviews represent. They are tiny digital trust signals that add up to a massive influence on client decisions. The book teaches how to become the type of person others trust online. Realtors need that more than almost any other profession..
