How to network without feeling weird, salesy, or completely forgettable

Welcome To Our Wednesday Newsletter

Welcome to IMPACT!

šŸ’¬ Quote of the Week

ā€œThe currency of real networking is not greed but generosity.ā€ – Keith Ferrazzi

ā˜• This Week’s Virtual Coffee:

We’re Actually Networking

Usually, we bring in an incredible guest speaker, and last week we had a really important conversation around Realtor safety that needed the time it took.

But if you’ve been around for a while, you know the breakout rooms are where the real magic happens, and we don’t always get to spend as much time there as we’d like. So this week, we’re flipping the script. No guest speaker. No long training. We’re making this one all about connection.

Did you miss last week? As long as I didn’t forget to hit record šŸ™ƒ, you can catch up via the link below. TIme saving tip - did you know that you can watch at 1.5x speed and still understand everything said? It’s just one more way to make the most of your time.

UPCOMING EVENTS:

Agent Alliance Live Ā» TODAY!

"It was a bad lead." "Tire-kicker." "Non-responsive." Sound familiar? Go look at the last 5 messages you sent to those leads. Read them out loud. Would YOU respond to any of them? (hint: that's not a lead problem, that's a message problem)

This Wednesday, we're showing you how to bring those "dead" leads back to life.

RE-AI Advantage Lab: Weekly AI Training for Real Estate Agents Ā» TODAY!

Welcome to the RE-AI Advantage Lab, a weekly training where we explore practical ways real estate agents can use AI to save time, create better marketing, communicate more effectively with clients, and build smarter systems for their business. Each week, we break down real tools, real prompts, and real strategies that agents can immediately put into action, without the overwhelm or tech confusion.

FRIDAY - Math Doesn’t Lie!

www.Brokerage-Breakdown.com

At the end of the day, this business comes down to math.

How much you keep.
How much you spend.
And how much time it actually takes to close a deal.

On this week’s Brokerage Breakdown, we’re looking at a model built to improve all three. Healthcare options with no monthly premium. A cap that decreases over time instead of resetting. And transaction coordination included in every deal so you get your time back.

No fluff. No hype. Just better math.

And if you’re in the process of finding a new home for your RE license, grab our guide at Brokerage Score

šŸ•µļøā€ā™€ļø Top Secret Agent Debrief - Granted!

Can’t wait until Friday? Or prefer to do your research under the radar? We’ve got you.
This confidential video briefing gives you the full intel on what we’re doing - from commission splits to stock rewards to the perks that feel almost too good to be real.
šŸŽ„ Watch it at your leisure. No login. No awkward intros. Just straight-up answers, decoded for agents who like to make smart, stealthy moves.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it… šŸ‘‡

TODAY’S FEATURE:

šŸ”„ Stop Collecting Contacts and Start Building Connections

Let’s just say the quiet part out loud…

Most agents are ā€œnetworkingā€ā€¦
…but nothing is actually coming from it.

They’re showing up.
They’re shaking hands.
They’re adding people on social media.

And then?

Nothing.

No referrals.
No follow-up conversations.
No real relationships.

Just a growing list of contacts that don’t turn into business.

Because networking is not about how many people you meet.

It’s about how many people remember you…
…and think of you when it actually matters.

šŸ¤ The Networking Lie Everyone Believes

There’s this idea floating around that if you just:

āœ” Go to enough events
āœ” Talk to enough people
āœ” Collect enough business cards

…eventually the business will show up.

Spoiler alert: it doesn’t.

Because being busy is not the same as being effective.

You can meet 100 people and close zero deals.
Or you can meet 10 people and build 3 relationships that send you business for years.

The difference?

šŸ‘‰ Intentional connection.

Most agents are networking like it’s a numbers game.

The agents winning are treating it like a relationship game.

😬 Why Networking Feels So Awkward

Let’s be honest… a lot of networking feels like speed dating for people who don’t want to be there.

And it’s awkward for a reason.

Because most agents are:

  • Trying to impress instead of connect

  • Talking at people instead of with them

  • Low-key trying to ā€œsellā€ without calling it selling

And people can feel that.

šŸ‘‰ Desperation has a vibe.
šŸ‘‰ So does authenticity.

If you walk into a conversation thinking,
ā€œHow do I get business from this person?ā€

…it shows.

If you walk in thinking,
ā€œIs this someone I actually want to know and stay connected to?ā€

…that shows too.

One repels.
One attracts.

šŸ”„ The Shift That Changes Everything

Here’s the framework:

Contacts → Conversations → Connections → Closings

Most agents live here:
āž”ļø Contacts

They meet people. Add them on Facebook. Done.

A few make it here:
āž”ļø Conversations

They have a decent chat. Maybe remember a name. Still no follow-up.

Very few get here:
āž”ļø Connections

They remember details. They follow up. They stay in touch.
They become top of mind.

And guess where the business actually happens?

āž”ļø Closings.

You don’t skip steps.

You build them.

šŸ—£ļø What to Say (So You Don’t Feel Weird)

Let’s make this easy.

You don’t need a script that sounds like a robot.
You need a starting point that sounds like a human.

Simple Intro:
ā€œHey, I’m Debbie in New Mexico. I mostly work with [your niche], and I love connecting with agents who are actually serious about referrals. What are you focused on right now?ā€

Better Question (that people actually remember):
ā€œWhat’s been working really well for you lately?ā€

(Watch how fast this changes the conversation.)

Exit Without Being Awkward:
ā€œI’m really glad we connected. I’d love to stay in touch and actually build something, not just be another name in your phone.ā€

Follow-Up Message:
ā€œHey! I really enjoyed our conversation earlier. You mentioned [insert detail]. I’d love to stay connected and keep you in mind for referrals on my end too.ā€

See the theme?

šŸ‘‰ No pressure
šŸ‘‰ No pitch
šŸ‘‰ Just real, intentional connection

And ironically… that’s what leads to business.

šŸ“± Client-Facing Social Post Ideas

(These are for your audience, not other agents šŸ‘‡)

Post Idea #1:
ā€œReal estate is still a relationship business šŸ¤
And the best opportunities usually come from conversations, not ads.ā€

Caption:
If you’ve been thinking about buying, selling, or even just exploring your options…
let’s have a real conversation about what makes sense for you.

Post Idea #2:
ā€œWho you work with matters.
And who your agent knows matters even more.ā€

Caption:
Whether you’re moving across town or across the country, I can connect you with the right people.

Post Idea #3:
ā€œSometimes the right move starts with the right conversation.ā€

Caption:
No pressure. No expectations. Just clarity on your next step.

šŸŽÆ Final Thought

You don’t need more contacts.

You need more people who:
āœ” Remember you
āœ” Trust you
āœ” Think of you when it counts

Because at the end of the day…

It’s not about how many people you met.

It’s about who actually remembers your name when an opportunity shows up.

Happy Networking,

Book of the Week:

Never Eat Alone by Keith Ferrazzi

is all about building genuine relationships before you need them, not scrambling when you do. Ferrazzi makes the case that success is driven by connection, generosity, and staying top of mind, not just talent or hustle. It’s a practical reminder that the strongest networks are built through consistent, intentional follow-up and real conversations, not one-time interactions.

My favorite tools!

✨ Guideless AI

If you have a team and feel like you’re explaining the same thing over and over again… or you’re responsible for a process that somehow keeps getting done wrong… this is going to be your new favorite shortcut. Instead of sitting down to write out SOPs, you simply do the task once while Guideless AI watches.

It flips the whole process on its head by turning your actions into clean, step-by-step documentation with voiceover automatically. No overthinking, no starting from scratch, no ā€œI’ll get to it later.ā€ Just show it once and you’ve got a repeatable, easy-to-follow guide your team can actually use. If you’re ready to stop repeating yourself and start systemizing, this is a no-brainer. Learn more HERE!

If you’ve ever tried a CRM like GoHighLevel and thought, ā€œthis looks amazing… but I have no idea how to actually use it,ā€ you’re not alone. Most systems give you a million tools and zero direction, which is exactly why so many agents never fully implement them. What I love about Rubic is that it’s built on that same powerful foundation, but it actually comes with a done-for-you structure so you’re not starting from scratch.

The real difference is the white-glove onboarding and support. You’re not just handed a login and wished good luck, you get help setting it up, understanding it, and actually using it in your business. If you’re serious about follow-up, systems, and finally owning your database without the overwhelm, this is one of the smartest tools you can plug into right now. Learn more HERE!

✨ Marblism

If your Google Business Profile hasn’t been updated in weeks, we need to talk. Google loves fresh content. The agents who post consistently show up more. The ones who don’t… well… don’t.

Marblism makes it stupidly easy to stay visible without burning out. In minutes, you can create weeks of Google-ready posts, market updates, and listing highlights so your profile stays active while you focus on negotiating deals and serving clients. Let the robots help you rank. You keep being the human people hire. This is how I’m protecting my energy and building momentum in 2026. You can too HERE!

✨ LynnPro

If you’ve ever ordered swag for your real estate business, this is for you. LynnPro Connect makes it easy to create custom branded apparel and promotional products all in one place. From t-shirts, hoodies, and hats to coffee mugs, pens, phone accessories, and even branded nail files, if you can put your logo on it, LynnPro can print it. It’s a simple way to stay visible, look professional, and turn everyday items into brand reminders your clients actually keep. (yes, you may recognize this from Friday’s Revenue edition. They have a referral program where you can earn from referring them… Ink Your Income)

✨ RealtyZam

Realtyzam is one of those tools that just makes life easier when it comes to your finances.

It automatically tracks income, expenses, and receipts so everything stays organized and ready for tax time. Simple, efficient, and built specifically for real estate. Exactly the kind of system I want more of this year. If you do too, try it HERE.

✨ Galaxy AI

Galaxy AI has become my go-to for quick, polished graphics.

It helps me create visuals without overthinking design or getting stuck trying to make things perfect. Clean, fast, and effective. Exactly what I want more of this year. If you do too, try it HERE.

šŸŽ™ļø VoicePost

Some of my best ideas happen when I’m driving, walking, or between appointments, not when I’m sitting at a desk.

VoicePost lets me record quick voice notes on the go and instantly turn them into written content I can use for emails, posts, or follow-ups. Instead of losing ideas or telling myself I’ll write it later, I can capture thoughts in real time and use them when it makes sense.

It’s been a huge help in staying consistent without having to stop everything to sit down and type. Try it HERE.
