Every Agent Should Be Paying Attention to This
Hey everyone,
If you've been around me for more than five minutes, you've probably heard me talk about the power of newsletters.
Not because I sell newsletters.
Because I believe every real estate agent should own an audience.
Social media is rented land. Algorithms change. Reach disappears. Platforms come and go.
Your email list is yours.
That's one of the reasons I've been building on beehiiv, and they have a major Summer Release Event coming up on July 16 that I think is worth your attention.
Whether you're already sending a newsletter or you've been thinking about starting one for your local market, this could be a big deal.
Think about it...
Imagine having a weekly email that keeps you top of mind with past clients, future clients, local business owners, military families relocating to your area, investors, and community members.
Imagine becoming the local source for what's happening in your market instead of competing with every other agent posting the same "Just Listed" graphics.
Imagine having a marketing asset that works whether Facebook changes its algorithm, Zillow changes its policies, or another shiny object comes along.
That's why I'm excited to see what beehiiv is announcing next.
They're positioning this release around helping creators, business owners, and audience builders grow and monetize more effectively. While they're keeping the details under wraps for now, I have a feeling there will be some interesting opportunities for agents who are serious about building a long-term business.
If you've ever thought about creating:
✅ A local community newsletter
✅ A relocation newsletter
✅ A military-focused newsletter
✅ An investor newsletter
✅ A past client newsletter
✅ A newsletter for your farm area
Then I'd encourage you to register and see what they're unveiling.
The agents who build audiences today are putting themselves in a very different position than the agents who rely entirely on leads from someone else's platform.
I'm always looking for tools and opportunities that can help agents build a stronger business, and this one has my attention.
We'll see what they have up their sleeve on July 16.
Debbie Mauro
P.S. If you've been saying, "I know I should start a newsletter someday," this might be the nudge you've been waiting for.
