The 10 Minutes That Could Change Your Business

How the first five minutes and last five minutes of your day can help you take back control

Welcome To Our Wednesday Newsletter

💬 Quote of the Week

"Success is the sum of small efforts repeated day in and day out." - Robert Collier

Welcome to IMPACT!

Real estate has a funny way of making very capable adults feel like caffeinated squirrels with a lockbox key.

One minute you are following up with a buyer. The next you are checking inspection dates, answering a lender question, trying to remember who you forgot to call back, and updating a CRM you swore you were going to use better this year. Somewhere in there your income starts to feel like it is being managed by a roulette wheel.

And then the day ends. You were busy for twelve straight hours and you still are not sure you moved your business forward.

That is exactly why this week's Virtual Coffee topic matters. The fix is usually not more hours. It is better bookends.

☕ This Week’s Virtual Coffee:

Is Your Business Running You?

This week we are joined by Monica Edwards of Monica K Coaching, known around here as Coach Monica.

You did not get into real estate so your business could run you. But for a lot of agents, that is exactly what happens. The day starts with notifications and little fires that feel productive while quietly stealing your focus, and it ends with a vague sense that you worked hard but cannot point to what got done.

That is where the first five minutes and the last five minutes come in. Coach Monica is going to walk us through three simple daily systems that cut the overwhelm and help you start and end your day with clarity instead of chaos.

Honestly, if ten minutes a day can keep your business from chasing you down the street with a clipboard, it is probably worth showing up for.

Did you miss last week? As long as I didn’t forget to hit record 🙃, you can catch up via the link below. Time saving tip - did you know that you can watch at 1.5x speed and still understand everything said? It’s just one more way to make the most of your time.

UPCOMING EVENTS:

Agent Alliance Live » TODAY!

Ted built his business sharing OTHER people's posts. You can too!

You've been treating social media like a personal billboard (post after post after post), wondering if it’s even worth it, when after a whole year it never turns into a single client. This Wednesday, Ted Bogert breaks down how to correct the lies we were taught as agents regarding social media, and how to post the authentic content that actually leads to closings.

You'll learn: -
How to use OTHER people’s content so the algorithm rewards you (not buries you)
- How to define your WHY so you always know what to post
- How to stop making your feed all about you and more about THEM (the people who will be your next closing!)

RE-AI Advantage Lab: Weekly AI Training for Real Estate Agents » TODAY!

Welcome to the RE-AI Advantage Lab, a weekly training where we explore practical ways real estate agents can use AI to save time, create better marketing, communicate more effectively with clients, and build smarter systems for their business. Each week, we break down real tools, real prompts, and real strategies that agents can immediately put into action, without the overwhelm or tech confusion.

The Unforgettable Realtor Experience » Thursday

Most Realtors work incredibly hard to get the client…and then accidentally disappear after closing. The problem?

Your past clients may LOVE you, but if you’re not staying visible in a meaningful way, someone else eventually becomes the agent they remember when a friend, coworker, or family member needs a referral.

That’s exactly why Jimmy Ezzell from TripValet Incentives is hosting a special training called: The Unforgettable Realtor Experience

This isn’t another “buy more leads” webinar. This training is all about how to create memorable client experiences that naturally generate more repeat business, referrals, conversations, and loyalty long after the transaction closes.

When a Brokerage Pays Your Healthcare,

People Notice » Friday!

There’s a brokerage getting a lot of attention right now…
and no, it’s not just about the free car washes.
That was the appetizer.

👉 Free healthcare. Free prescriptions.

Meanwhile, most agents are out here paying a second mortgage just to stay covered.
So yeah… people are starting to ask questions.
Because when a brokerage removes one of the biggest financial pressures agents face…
that’s not a perk.
That’s a shift.

TODAY’S FEATURE:

Chaos Is Expensive

Let's talk about the real cost of chaos.

Chaos does not always look dramatic. Sometimes it looks like forgetting to follow up with a buyer who was almost ready. Sometimes it looks like letting warm leads sit too long because you were busy with whatever was loudest that day. Sometimes it looks like waking up, grabbing your phone, and letting everyone else's priorities become your schedule before your feet hit the floor.

And here is the part agents do not love to admit. All of that costs money. Missed follow-up, inconsistent prospecting, decision fatigue, and the quiet hit to your confidence when a scattered day turns into a scattered business.

That is when the income roller coaster shows up. One month you are busy and unstoppable. The next you are wondering where the leads went. Then you close something, relax, drop the systems, panic, and start the whole cycle over.

Fun little ride, right? No. Absolutely not.

The agents who create consistency are not always the ones with the fanciest systems. They are usually the ones with the clearest daily rhythm. They know what matters first thing. They know what to review before they shut it down. And they have a way to keep one bad conversation or one quiet week from hijacking their whole mindset.

That is why those ten minutes are so powerful. Coach Monica is taking the first five on Thursday, so I am going to give you the last five right now.

The Last Five Minutes

Before you close the laptop and let your brain turn into mashed potatoes, do these three things.

Reflect on the day. What actually happened today? What worked, and what flopped? You do not need a journal entry. You need sixty honest seconds so tomorrow's version of you is a little smarter than today's. The wins tell you what to repeat. The misses tell you what to fix before they cost you again.

Update your CRM. Get your notes current while the conversations are still fresh. Who you talked to, what they said, what you promised, and when you said you would follow up. Tomorrow morning that detail is fuzzy. Three days from now it is gone. A CRM you actually feed is the difference between follow-up that runs on a system and follow-up that runs on whether you happened to remember.

Review tomorrow's schedule. Look at what is on deck so nothing catches you flat-footed at 9 a.m. Showings, calls, deadlines, that closing you almost forgot. Walking into tomorrow already knowing the shape of it is how you start the day leading instead of reacting.

That is it. Five minutes. Reflect, update, prepare.

This is not about becoming a productivity robot. It is about building a business that does not need you living in constant reaction mode. You cannot run a stable business from a scattered mind, and you cannot create consistent income if your follow-up depends on memory, mood, and whether Mercury is acting sketchy again.

The good news is you do not need to overhaul your life. You just need better bookends. Five minutes to start with intention from Coach Monica on Thursday, and five minutes to end with clarity from this issue right now.

Small enough to actually do. Powerful enough to change the way your business feels.

Steal This Post

Need a quick post for this week? Here are two ready to copy and paste. Both quietly tell your clients you are the kind of agent who stays on top of every detail, which is exactly what a buyer or seller wants to know before they pick someone.

Option 1, the reassurance post:

Buying or selling a home comes with a lot of moving parts. Inspection dates, deadlines, lender updates, the phone call that has to happen today.

Here is how I keep it all straight. Every day before I shut down, I take five minutes to review where each of my clients stands and map out tomorrow. Nothing forgotten. Nothing left to chance.

Your home sale is not a number on my list. It is someone's next chapter, and I treat it that way.

Option 2, the behind-the-scenes:

A peek behind the curtain of how I work.

The last thing I do every day is sit down for five minutes and go through each active deal. I check what happened, update my notes, and line up tomorrow before I leave my desk.

It is not glamorous. But it is the reason my clients are not the ones chasing me for updates. I already have the answer before they have to ask.

If you are thinking about a move this year, that is the kind of follow-through you can expect.

🎯 This Week's Takeaway

You do not need a perfect schedule to build a better business. You need a rhythm you can repeat.

This week, pay attention to the first five minutes and the last five minutes of your day. What gets your focus first? What gets reviewed before you shut it down?

Reflect. Update. Prepare. Three small things at the end of the day, and the start of Coach Monica's three on Thursday.

That might be the shift that turns chaos into clarity. And clarity into income.

Happy Networking,
Debbie Mauro

Book of the Week:

The Compound Effect by Darren Hardy

This week's pick is The Compound Effect by Darren Hardy, and it might be the perfect companion to everything we talked about today. Hardy's whole argument is that small, unglamorous choices repeated daily are what actually create big results, which is exactly why those five minutes at the end of your day matter more than any single dramatic push. If you have ever felt like success in this business is random, this book makes a convincing case that it is not, it is just the quiet math of what you do consistently.

My favorite tools!

If your Google Business Profile hasn’t been updated in weeks, we need to talk. Google loves fresh content. The agents who post consistently show up more. The ones who don’t… well… don’t.

Marblism makes it stupidly easy to stay visible without burning out. In minutes, you can create weeks of Google-ready posts, market updates, and listing highlights so your profile stays active while you focus on negotiating deals and serving clients. Let the robots help you rank. You keep being the human people hire. This is how I’m protecting my energy and building momentum in 2026. You can too HERE!

Most Realtors say they want more referrals… but then they close the deal, hand over the keys, and disappear until the next holiday pop-by. The agents getting repeat business and referrals in 2026 are the ones creating experiences clients actually remember.

That’s why I’ve been loving TripValet Incentives. It gives you access to high-value travel and lifestyle incentives you can use to stand out in your market, create memorable closing gifts, generate more referrals, and spark conversations without constantly lowering your commission or buying expensive leads.

We’re talking vacation incentives designed to help you stay top-of-mind long after the transaction closes. The best part? Your clients never have to sit through a timeshare presentation, which honestly matters more than ever.

If you’ve been looking for a way to create more word-of-mouth business and elevate your client experience without adding a ton of extra work to your plate, this is worth checking out. Plus, they offer a 7-Day Free Trial so you can test it before committing. Learn more HERE!

✨ domii

One app I genuinely love and recommend to agents is domii. In a business where we’re constantly meeting new people, walking into vacant homes, and working alone, safety isn’t optional, it’s essential. domii was built with that reality in mind, giving you a simple way to stay connected and protected while you’re out showing property or meeting clients. While tools like Forewarn can provide helpful background information, they don’t offer real-time protection in the moment, which is where domii really stands out. It’s one of those tools you hope you never need, but you’ll be really glad you have. You can download it directly from the Apple App Store or Google Play, and if you use code STARTHERE, you’ll get 25% off.

If you have a team and feel like you’re explaining the same thing over and over again… or you’re responsible for a process that somehow keeps getting done wrong… this is going to be your new favorite shortcut. Instead of sitting down to write out SOPs, you simply do the task once while Guideless AI watches.

It flips the whole process on its head by turning your actions into clean, step-by-step documentation with voiceover automatically. No overthinking, no starting from scratch, no “I’ll get to it later.” Just show it once and you’ve got a repeatable, easy-to-follow guide your team can actually use. If you’re ready to stop repeating yourself and start systemizing, this is a no-brainer. Learn more HERE!

If you’ve ever tried a CRM like GoHighLevel and thought, “this looks amazing… but I have no idea how to actually use it,” you’re not alone. Most systems give you a million tools and zero direction, which is exactly why so many agents never fully implement them. What I love about Rubic is that it’s built on that same powerful foundation, but it actually comes with a done-for-you structure so you’re not starting from scratch.

The real difference is the white-glove onboarding and support. You’re not just handed a login and wished good luck, you get help setting it up, understanding it, and actually using it in your business. If you’re serious about follow-up, systems, and finally owning your database without the overwhelm, this is one of the smartest tools you can plug into right now. Learn more HERE!

✨ LynnPro

If you’ve ever ordered swag for your real estate business, this is for you. LynnPro Connect makes it easy to create custom branded apparel and promotional products all in one place. From t-shirts, hoodies, and hats to coffee mugs, pens, phone accessories, and even branded nail files, if you can put your logo on it, LynnPro can print it. It’s a simple way to stay visible, look professional, and turn everyday items into brand reminders your clients actually keep. (yes, you may recognize this from Friday’s Revenue edition. They have a referral program where you can earn from referring them… Ink Your Income)
